Blog 26: High-5 Day

Today's kind of a big deal here at "DBHF" as today is National High Five Day, as we as April National Stress Awareness Month! And while the holiday of National High Five Day may sound silly, it was actually started to support a good cause. Several people have signed up to give out 55 high-fives throughout the day for the National High-5-A-Thon for Cancer Research. If the organizers meet their goal, more than $15,000 will go to a variety of cancer-related organizations. If you want to help as well, give a virtual high-five (aka a donation) at www.stayclassy.org

Additionally April is National Stress Awareness Month, which is is a national, cooperative effort to inform people about the dangers of stress, successful coping strategies, and harmful misconceptions about stress that are prevalent in our society. So take a few extra minutes to think about your daily stress, and what you can do to reduce it- as well as hand out a few high fives to even just  brighten someones day.
