Blog 20: Nifty App

Good evening, hope everyone made it through Monday. For all those observing Good Friday, only three more days of the work week to go! I recently found another new App that I thought was nifty enough to pass on, it's called Snapguide. It's a "simple, beautiful way to share and view step-by-step how to guides", or as I see it the Pintrest for how-to's. It allows a user to add their own guides as well as view various other step-by-step task others have mastered and thought well enough to pass on to others.

Iphone's are completely over loaded with gizmos and gadgets, as keeping up with updates and clearing the apps in use feels like a small part-time job. Here's one example of a guide I found useful for my Iphone as I never knew you could re-calibrate the home button. After having my iphone for one year (this week, weird now that I think about it) the home button has becoming slower as I never knew there was actually a way to reset it to what it once was.

*For some reason my photos didn't turn out as clear as I would of wished, so I have captioned the text of the step to save your eyes. Your welcome. :)

Sometimes when you press the home button on your
iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch there can be a delay or even take a couple
of tries before it responds. In this tutorial you will see how to fix this.

Open a stock application like the calendar, Weather, or Youtube.

With on of these apps opened, hold down the power button
until the 'slide to power off' control appears.

As soon as you see it, press the home button and keep it
pressed until the red slider disappears and the app is forced
to quit to the home menu.

That's it! Now you should have a much more responsive home button.

  1. I don't have an I-Phone or Smart Phone. They cost too much and apparently are complicated to work.
