If you Build it...

Beginning week three and so far so good! We're getting really into the flow of our new surroundings and I can brag I haven't gotten terribly lost this past week (haven't been "exploring" neither, haha). Founds some new fabulous restaurants and new friends, now just to get in the new house already! Patience is a virtue, and boy am I practicing.

Speaking of new house-- Who knew a house would have so many options, like colors and designs for interior doors?! We've nailed down many of the major details as the minor ones are all thats left. Since not too much is happening with the house in the past few weeks I'd provide some eye candy for whats to come.
If you build it, they will come :)

Few lighting options, we're trying our best to stay
within budget the rest of the build but jeeze...

Backsplash tile design (top) and color (bottom), tile has
been by far the hardest to pick out because the
samples are tiny and it's going EVERYWHERE!

Clipping Along

Hello all! Sorry for the space again between post but as you can image we've been kept quite busy! I can't say I hate being busy but it sure makes the time go quick, as well as easier transition for the big move and missing all of our friends and family back home. We miss everyone very much and are trying to make sure we keep in touch as much as possible, which is turning out to be much harder than I remember. Any who we appreciate everyones phone calls, prayers, and even snail mail! Today was Ed's thirtieth birthday and we had an amazing day together. I just wanted to personally thank everyone for wishing him a happy birthday through facebook, text, and phone calls. You guys are all amazing and just one reason why we miss you all so much! :)

So much is changing weekly (I've only been here almost three weeks) as were fully moved in to our studio apartment and really starting to get into a routine. Work is really going well for both of us. Ed's getting into his new job and as far as I can tell he's loving it! My new hospital has welcomed me with open arms and I'm loving the girls I get to work with (shout out to Cassie to makes every day a good time!).

The house is really clipping along as we've passed numerous inspections as our brick arrived late last week and should hopefully be done sometime this week or early next. I hope to post more pictures soon, as of right now it looks about the same. We've decided on the upgrades we did and didn't want as well as picked out our appliances, tile, flooring, ect. It all just gets us that much more excited to see it completed, fingers crossed it all looks good together! Not really... but really! haha

Thanks again for everyone love and support,
our friends and family are the best!

Last week SC, first week OK

I can hardly believe were now into August already! Been running myself crazy in every direction and have been neglecting the blog, whoops. I thought I'd follow up with a quick run-down of the last two weeks as two weeks ago tomorrow I was spending my last night in Greenville!

Spent saturday selling the VW Beetle (sad face!) and traveling down for a quick beach trip with the family. Left my furry babies Behr and Madison with Eddie's parents as the black car was off to Oklahoma. Not to mention Grandma McMillin had major back surgery and is doing amazing, Grandma your in my prayers!

After a quick trip to the beach I finally flew out to Oklahoma, and met Ed as well as our progressing new house! As of last friday we have a roof and bath tubs! Who knew the little things in life could be so exciting. We've been in meetings with the builder and have made many decisions, although we still have so many more to go. To say the least I'm kinda obsessed right now with various types of tile, hardwood floors, and paint colors.

Started work already, settled into the apartment, and beginning to learn my way around our area so to celebrate we took an over night trip to Texas. We've gotten Texas Rangers tickets thanks to Michelin and we were able to meet up with Ed's co-worker Chalie and her boyfriend and had a blast (Rangers won in  extra innings!) The photo on the right was taken just on the Oklahoma side of the Texas border at a "scenic turnout", picture really doesn't do it justice because you could see for miles and miles.

Miss everyone bunches and can't wait for everyone to come visit,
