Getting There

All the pieces are starting to come together. Nathan and I have become good phone-friends and to date he's my most favorite relo person in the whole wide world. Oh, yes you ask- "Who is this Nathan character?", well Nathan is from our relocation company that assist us with organizing the move. My new relo friend moves as fast (if not faster) than I do when it comes to decisions about the move, no non-sense. With-in the last week we hired and fired the first moving company as well as hired a second company which as since been to our house to access our stuff and how much it's going to take to move us. We've set a date for the move as well as options for moving the car, as well as how our dogs will travel-- all in a few phone calls. The best part is Ed's really hasn't had to be involved, which is not only what he prefers but makes things go much quicker.

The house is finally starting to become a reality, as today Eddie choose the brick. Believe it or not Eddie met the builders designer today and after only sending me a few pictures he picked out the exterior of our home. I have to admit it was hard to just sit by, but I'm really happy with what he choose in the end and so glad he's as excited as I am to see it all come together!

As usual we've been super busy, which means I become a horrible blogger! So much as happened like accepting an offer on the house, and if everything goes as planned we should be "un-homeowners" by the end of July!

If selling the house wasn't enough, I've decided to purge the house of things we no longer need and want. Which means it's about time for a yard sale. Whats better than getting rid of things you don't need... buying new.

So much going on and so little time, blog ya later!

Ya' know what, par'dner?

My calendar might be submitting it's own two week notice soon, as at this point I might be the only one who can decipher it. I'm currently in the process of hunting down our relocation company, movers, storage centers, as well as anyone else that might stand in my way from getting everything set before the move. I've become claustrophobic to any uncertainty that's involved with the move because the days are really clicking away.

Funny Sports Ecard: Ya' know what, par'dner? The only way to beat this summer HEAT is a good ole' Oklahoma THUNDERstorm!
Go Thun'der!
All the meanwhile, Eddie moved into his studio apartment this week and received his rental furniture. He (and I) will be living there until our house is completed sometime in early October. And for those who know Eddie best you can only image how he handles change and too much time by himself-- he wondered to Best Buy. haha

Eddie's working on setting up his temporary home office as he is to change his   number and get a post office box. As far as I can tell he's putting off changing his number as long as possible, but he has gotten his P.O. box. Since I can't let something that he checks on the weekly go without some abuse, here's the address... Feel free to send him some love via snail mail!

the Space Between

Again it feels like the calm before the storm. The house is on the market (tell all your friends!), Ed's out in Oklahoma, I've contacted my new work place in Oklahoma, we're breaking ground on the new house next week, now just to schedule the movers. Oh, yeah and if we don't have enough going on as it is, I got a notice in the mail yesterday that I'm to be summoned for jury during the second week in July- the same week I may or not be moving. Now just to schedule the movers to come and storage to place in all in on the other side.

In the mean time here's a quote for the ladies...

Oklahoma Bound

As the Thunder takes game five to San Antonio, Eddie heads to Oklahoma City. He will officially be living in Oklahoma first in a hotel (for a week or two) then on to a studio apartment till the house is completed. More information should come this week for whats to follow in the upcoming weeks and months. Keep Eddie in your prayers and as always, GO THUNDER!

Beautiful day for flying

A Long Time Coming

Good saturday afternoon! So much as changed in the last week or so since I've updated you all! I'll start with when we were still in Oklahoma City. After some trials, tribulations, prayers and margaritas we finally put a offer in with an amazing builder to build us a house. The builder accepted our offer and below is the floor plan that we decided on, as well as the lot we choose. The neighborhood is just north of Oklahoma City in the City of Edmond, down the street from the neighborhood many of the OKC Thunder players live!  (*The solid circle is the lot we're building on) Eddie is meeting with the builder this week and I hate that I can't be there but so excited to hear all about the details!

Estimated time of completion; October 2012

Eddie flew into GSP friday before Memorial day (wow- it has been awhile since I blogged, shame-shame!!) and directly after picking him up we hit the road to Myrtle Beach to meet up with some of our favorites to celebrate the weekend. We had a blast and I truly can hardly believe it flew by so fast! Can't wait to see them all ASAP, and maybe the new house will be ready for the McMillin-Leo Fourth Annual Halloween party!
